Evidently, the resurgence of COVID in a 2nd wave happened due largely to ‘Risk Compensation’ by community, exacerbated extreme risk behavior community. compensation’ or ‘Peltzman effect’, where there is an attitudinal shift underestimating and subsequent complacency observing measures almost axiomatic phenomenon this was being predicted case too(1). However scale, extent intensity re-surgence (second wave) which exponential & ‘asymptotic‘ unwarranted, also unprecedented. That predictable needed pro-active pragmatic strategizing/ decision making (which would affect community vis religious congregation other public events abetting gathering crowd etc) not unknown.
